Do not know which is better for you? .com, .net, .us, or .com.my?

If you decided to pick it for your blog, then .com is more reliable. The logic is people often enter .com first rather than others. The first time I visit lowyat.net, I go to lowyat.com and found that it was a different site. Same with lelong.com.my (although .com.my is more expensive, .com is more reliable and can bring more traffic to your site).

So what about domain flipping?

If you tweak the logic behind my idea above, you there is a few tips to success in domain flipping or domain parking.

1. Manipulate other famous site or blog.
-The site which is not famous right now, perhaps will be famous in the future.
-Let’s us take negaraku.net .A digg like site for Malaysia. Maybe it is still cool right now, but who knows what will happen in few more years.
-Grab this opportunity to buy the domain name negaraku.com, then park it at sedo.com and lastly enjoy the free traffic you will get for mistyping negaraku.net.

2. Manipulate your own site.
-If you are trying to do this way, it is better for you to have an application or service website rather than blog.
-For example, if I own a site like amazon. I will give it the name amazon.net. What happen to amazon.com then? I will use it for domain parking and earn money without needing to do anything.
-My theory behind this is more famous your main website (.net website), than more traffic will also come to your .com domain. So, you only need to maintain .net site to make both of the domain valuable.
